Florasol Residence Hotel - Dorisol hotels

Joselino was exceptional. He is the main reason we would return to Madeira and stay at the Florasol again. He went above and beyond to give suggestions, we landed early and were lucky and got to check in our room. The location was very convenient to what we wanted to do. The kitchen staff was awesome and offered a variety of tasty breakfast options.

This was our second time here. We liked the location of the hotel, the services, the delicious breakfast. The staff was very nice and helpful when I asked for change of room (before lower floor with street view). If you have a chance ask for a room on a higher floor with sea view. We had this large apartment during our first stay and it was amazing.

The receptionist was very kind and helpful. He kindly answered every question we had. The apartment we stayed in was very spacious and nice. There was one balcony from the bedroom and one from the living room with a pleasant view. There was quite a lot of equipment in the kitchen as well. The hotel also had a pool, which we did not have the oportunity to use (we didn't have the time). The location is also nice. There is a bus stop nearby - the buses go to the centre and also the aerobus to and from the airport stops there. Not far from the hotel is also the city beach. It would be a nice place to stay longer - we were there one day only. Thank you for the hospitality!

The varied breakfast buffet offers a great start to the day, while the dinner menu includes themed meals such as Italian, Indian, and local Madeiran cuisine, adding a delightful culinary touch. The bar serves refreshing drinks, and the hotel’s lovely garden and existing entertainment options provide additional enjoyment. Although the hotel features some entertainment, a greater variety would further enhance the guest experience. In the evenings, the surrounding neighborhood adds to the charm with live music from nearby streets, creating a lively atmosphere. The hotel’s convenient location, with nearby supermarkets like Pingo Doce and other local attractions, adds to its appeal. Overall, Florasol Residence Hotel is highly recommended for both solo travelers and families. Its excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and warm, inviting atmosphere make it an ideal choice for anyone visiting Funchal.

Easy to get to from the airport. We were half board and the food was plentiful and decent. The location was good for wandering about. It was about 30minutes walk from Funchal old town. Plenty of day trips available nearby. Plenty of bars and eating places nearby. Prices nearby for food and drink were relativly cheap. The room was clean and had a kitchenette with a fridge which was useful.
